RE: Love Bug Residue

try using dryer sheets....like Bounce Exactly!! Don't mess with all that other stuff when all you have to do is to dampen a dryer sheet and wipe off the bugs...residue and all!! I was skeptical at first, but after trying it I was amazed. No work, just wipe. It is that easy!! Mark

RE: Reese Remote Slider Actuator

Rumors say it only works while the truck is in park. It doesn't actually actuate the slide mechanism, but the locking mechanism that allows it to slide. So, you put the truck in park, actuate the unit to unlock the slide, apply the trailer brakes, move the truck to slide to new position, then actuate to "re-lock" the slide. Mark

RE: 65psi tires vs 80psi tires

It used to be when a service station changed tires they put them in a BIG steel cage. If you have never seen a tire explode you wouldn't know why. But you only have to see one blow up and you would always want a BIG steel cage any time you pump up your tires. Using a wheel rated lower than a tire NEEDS a BIG steel cage. Frank Like this video!!! RE: White King Water Softener & The Geo Method

Hi... I post this same info about once a month.... here it is again and hope it helps you out Yes, it is very helpful. Thanks!! I get my Calgon from DRUGSTORE.COM in 32oz bottles. If you "have" to use a powdered form I found it at this site for about a third less $$. LINK So, the liquid is the preferred form? Thanks, Mark

RE: Need help with backing

My 2 cents would be to have someone behind you (if possible) to make sure you don't run into/over something. My wife and I use 2way radios. Then, in your mirror, don't look at the back of the trailer, but at the tires. Guide the tires where you want them to go and the rest of the trailer will follow. My wife does not guide me...only makes sure that I don't hit something. Works for us. Mark

RE: Hitch came loose...

I can't beleive you've been mounting hitch that way for that long and it hasn't come loose before now. I'm not one to be critical of someone else's action but this was a dumb move, however luck prevailed. There are too many things that can go wrong that you can't control, I'll be damned if I'll leave anything to chance. Guess you can look at this as a learning experience and luckily not much damage. Could have been a disaster. JMOA Steve A. Dagro That will make someone want to post their experiences here!! :o I'm glad to hear that you or nobody else got hurt. We live and learn. Sometimes literally!! ;) Mark

RE: Bug removal

I cleaned up the 5er this past Saturday after a week-long trip. The front, of course, was covered in bugs. I had read about the dryer sheet trick, but didn't really believe it would work. Well, let me tell you...that it does indeed work like magic!! I just wet the surface and wiped it with the DS and it got ALL the bug (guts and all) off with NO elbow grease!! I still can't believe how well it works!! Mark

RE: propane running

I always run mine while traveling too. But that raises a good question...any idea how much propane it does burn to run the fridge? Mark

RE: made our reservations for winter

My youngest brother just moved to Monument, Co. After being born and raised in the Houston area, we love Colorado. Now he is always calling me telling me how beautiful it is there...and INDEED it is!! BUT, I can't wait til winter time and the snow is butt deep to a giraffe!! I'll be calling him then asking how he likes the shoveling!! :B Mark

RE: Let's talk bike racks some more.

I have the 4 bike version of this rack and it works great. LINK TO RACK Do be sure to check your bumper first...not only for the welds you mentioned, but also make sure the bumper is heavy enough. Some bumpers have the thickness of a soda can, but mine is pretty heavy. Good luck, Mark

RE: aerosol cans

Think about how this type of product is transported and delivered to your store. In the back of a hot, closed up 18 wheeler trailer!! Mark
